In everything we do, The Good Life Coalition’s mission is to “be well, do good.” GLC provides programs to bring positive changes so you can “be well” in all areas of life. But we also strongly believe that part of being well involves doing good. When we extend our energy outward to help others, that energy flows back to us in health and happiness.
When you register for any Good Life Coalition program, you will do good by providing a full year of clean drinking water to one person in a 3rd world village or disaster situation, as well as contribute to the implementation of long-term, sustainable clean water solutions in each village.
Why water?
Many of us take for granted our faucets, water bottles and drinking fountains. Can you believe the majority of our toilet bowls contain purer water than the murky, disease-infested water that is currently available to over 1.1 billion people?
6,500 people die each day (5,000 of those are children) because they don’t have clean drinking water.
Do Good
Your participation in any Good Life Coalition program will provide one WATERisLIFE straw to someone in need. This revolutionary straw filters through a year’s worth of drinking water for one person. The straw is a portable filtration device that provides pure, clean drinking water whenever it is immersed into a water source (just like a normal straw). The Straw saves lives on a daily basis by filtering out waterborne diseases. What’s more, your participation contributes toward providing long-term solutions like water wells, sand filters and other technologies.
The next filter distribution team will leave for Haiti on June 10, 2012.
